Varicose Veins

In the last 10 years, the treatment of varicose veins has changed dramatically. New technology has virtually eliminated the need to use traditional surgery. Minimally invasive laser treatments are well tolerated, fast, and require minimal recovery time. Through a small puncture in the skin with a needle, a laser fiber is introduced into the vein.

Heat from the laser is delivered as the fiber is drawn backward, ablating and closing the vein behind it. The blood then re-routes through a healthy vein, and over time, the body absorbs the treated vein. Activity is resumed immediately, and compression stockings are required for a few days.
