Jane is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining Carolina Vein Institute she worked in critical care, community health and for the last several years she has worked in a vein clinic. She graduated with her Bachelors degree in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University in 2009. She continued her education at Duke University where she graduated with a Masters in Nursing in 2013. Jane has been involved in both local medical charity ministries and several medical mission trips to Haiti.
As a provider at Carolina Vein Institute, she conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats vascular illnesses, orders and interprets tests and develops treatment plans, performs procedures, prescribes medications and counsels on preventative and post treatment health care. Jane particularly enjoys patient education. Partnering with patients to make sure they understand both the disease process and their treatment options is of utmost importance.
Outside of work, Jane enjoys spending time with her husband and chasing after her two young children. She enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and finding new favorite restaurants. She is originally from Virginia but has called North Carolina home for over 10 years.
